Daphne Burke lands award for her performance in Skyak Production’s “Confidence Camp”


Cebu, PHILIPPINES (Mar. 14, 2013) – IAFT 401 student Daphne Burke has won the Best Actress award in Short10Cinema’s comedy challenge 2013. The win was for her performance in a comedy or dark comedic performance category. Burke’s performance as Jessie Higgins in Kristina Evans-Arnold’s Confidence Camp marks her first Short10Cinema award. The short film was also penned by fellow IAFT student Katrina J. Evans.


Daphne Burke hails from Sydney, Australia. She is currently pursuing her dream of acting, studying in IAFT’s Performing Arts Program in Cebu, Philippines.


Short10Cinema was founded in 2010 to help promote and expose short films and filmmakers to a wider audience. Short10Cinema is based in Washington, USA and currently holds five competitions annually with submissions from around the world.
