MACAU INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION EXPO

In mid-October, IAFT HK and IAFT Cebu participated in the Macau International Education Expo at the Venetian – our first attempt to reach out to students in China and Macau. Although the number of participants was not as high as expected throughout the 3 days, those who did attend were eager to learn about the opportunities we could present to them in terms of a creative, career focused education.

During the fair I was approached by several students; one college student from Zhong Shan shared with me her passion for capturing beauty through photography, and several others explained how the arts are becoming more and more popular as a means of creative expressionism in the Mainland.

When I was talking with the visitors about our programs it was wonderful for me to be able to see their reactions – they were excited that we could provide them with the opportunity and creative, nurturing environment that they require to develop their skills, so close to home.

The trip made me realize how many students are interested in studying abroad today, whether it be on exchange programs, or courses such as our own. I am very interested in the development and globalization of education, and this exhibition provided me with a great opportunity to see its effects in the current market.
