SEMINAR on INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION
with Industry Veteran Frederick Bailey
After not only surviving but thoroughly enjoying multiple low-budget productions with legendary independent Producer Roger Corman, Bailey will share his point of view on how to get movies made on a reasonable budget. He made his debut as a feature director with SHOGUN COP, a fantasy/adventure unveiled at the Tokyo International Fantastic Film Festival. He’s served as screenwriter on 23 movies that have made it to the screen (the most recent shot in South Carolina in 2010) as well as fulfilled scriptwriting duties on 18 documentaries, chiefly bonus material on DVD reissues of classics. He’s also directed short videos, industrials and stageplays, and been an actor, associate producer, post-production coordinator, ADR coordinator, and grip. A sampling of the many movies he’s worked on: QUICK, DEMONSTONE, GOODBYE AMERICA, ANGEL CAMOUFLAGED, GIRL WITH NO NUMBER, KILL ZONE, CIRCLE OF FEAR, DEMON OF PARADISE, BODY SHOT, DEEP GOLD, and SKY CAPTAIN & THE WORLD OF TOMORROW. He’s done movies shot in Asia and Eastern Europe, Hollywood and Arizona, El Monte and Big Bear. He comes armed with myriad war stories and insider tips. Look him up on IMDb.com:
