TVB8 GOLDEN MUSIC AWARDS 2012

On 9th December, 2012, I was so happy to participate in the “TVB8 Golden Music Awards 2012”. It was my honor to have witnessed many Mega Hong Kong and Taiwanese singers being presented with music awards, including Joey Yung, Raymond Lam, G.E.M Tang, Charlene Choi, Jing Chang etc. Cantonese Pop Music has always been my number one choice because it has vastly helped me improve in my Cantonese. However after last night, I was surprised how powerful and energetic Taiwanese songs could be, especially the New Taiwanese pop band, MIC with their upbeat dance moves. This surely will encourage me to listen to a more variety of cultural music and to understand why they enjoy performing on stage. The highlight of the night was definitely when Fala Chen was awarded the “Best Newcomer Bronze Award”. I have always supported Fala from television as she is a hardworking Artiste who knows what she wants and will not give up when she faces obstacles. I know it is hard for a Television Artiste to jump into the music industry as the audience would recognise her as a specific character from her dramas; hence she would only be able to sing a limited range of music. I am so proud that this was Fala’s first music award and I wish her all the best in the upcoming music award ceremonies in 2012.
